\"\"…after publishing Nature’s Angels, my first children’s book, dedicated to my four grandchildren. The story follows a grandparent and child as they wander through nature, admiring beauty and wonder in an imaginative way. It was my legacy gift, to inspire and encourage a new generation to appreciate the wonders of nature.<\/p>\n

My love of nature, especially the unique beauty of the Sonoran Desert is where I draw inspiration for most of my writing. Having grown up in Phoenix during the sixties and seventies, we used to load up the ole station wagon and hit the road, exploring the landscapes of this beautiful country. Those road trips planted the seed of my persistent desire to explore and see what’s beyond the horizon.<\/p>\n

Most days when I’m not chasing sunsets, you’ll find me hiking the trails of deserts and mountains. It is in nature where I feel most at home. It is in nature where we can connect to something beyond the man-made constructs of our modern-day world. As a Certified Nature Therapy Guide<\/a>,<\/strong> I enjoy leading clients through the healing experience of nature immersion, a practice that encourages us to tap into our senses, disconnect from our devices and reconnect to all that is life.<\/p>\n

It was during a summer season working at a Wyoming dude ranch that I was introduced to the healing power of horses. These beautiful intuitive beings have the ability to draw us into a deeper connection with what’s really going on beneath the surface. I had recently become an empty nester, my mother had passed, and I was embarking on a new trail of writing my next chapter, so lots of letting go of people, places, and things. Experiencing the healing effects of this practice first hand, I continued to learn more about this practice and became a Certified Equine Assisted Learning Facilitator<\/a>.<\/strong> Partnering with horses and their no-nonsense meters encourages us to tap into internal narratives that may be keeping us stuck and help us learn new ways of showing up more authentically.<\/p>\n

This past decade has been a journey of discovery through curious exploration, connecting with nature, experiencing the therapeutic power of interacting with horses, and connecting people through storytelling. Today I bring these modes of connection into my work.<\/p>\n
